In the framework of the project
Follow the Route of the Po Delta, during
the Fair schools can participate in national and
international contests, giving youngsters the opportunity
to learn while having fun with their classmates
or giving free run to their imagination in a nature
painting contest. We propose the following:
- Photocontest junior:
experienced birdwatchers dare each other to recognise
birds from a just a few images. Let’s play
this fantastic game together with the funny egret
Sgarzy and its bird friends. All participants
will receive the book published in cooperation
with EBN.
- Contest The Delta
in Comics: some characters, a general
structure....the rest is up to your imagination.
Let’s invent a story set in the Po Delta
and then join us at the Fair to put it into comic
strings together with the famous authors of Diabolik
comics.
- Tweety in your garden
2005-2006: the project Birdgardening
– How to transform an area of your garden
to host wild birds will be presented at the
Fair. The first 10 teachers to apply will participate
in the 2006 Birdgardening School Contest and receive
a learning kit teaching them how to teach birdgardening
in the classroom and in the schoolyard. At the
Birdwatching Fair 2006 the best projects will
be awarded funds to buy new teaching material
for the school.
- Nature painting LUONTO.
A far-away land and a new word, LUONTO. Luonto
means nature in Finnish. This initiative offers
the opportunity to show our Finnish friends our
landscape, with its colours and birds, while discovering
the differences and similarities between our two
countries. Age of participants 7-12; 13-16; 17-22.
